Oolong
Description
Oolong – Smooth, Buttery & Just a Bit Wild
Oolong sits comfortably between green and black tea — not too grassy, not too bold. This one’s gently oxidised and sun-wilted to bring out a smooth, buttery flavour with a subtle floral kick. Light, bright, and a bit moreish. If you’ve never tried Oolong before, prepare to be pleasantly surprised.
Picked high up in the mountains while the leaves are still young, it’s processed the traditional way — sun-dried and tossed in bamboo baskets to coax out those unique notes. The result? A golden yellow brew that’s mellow, aromatic, and a little bit addictive.
What Is Oolong?
Oolong is partially oxidised — meaning it’s not quite a green tea and not quite a black tea. The best of both worlds. It’s known for its complexity and balance, with layers of flavour that change as it steeps. Traditionally loved in China and Taiwan, it’s perfect for a slow, savoury sip.
Why You’ll Love It
• Refined, not fussy – a great intro to artisan teas
• Naturally low in caffeine – perfect for afternoons
• Easy to drink – smooth and delicate, no bitterness
• Traditional charm – hand-processed using age-old methods
A Note on Origin
Sourced from high-elevation gardens, where cooler temps and misty mornings help create that signature smoothness and subtle complexity. The leaves are carefully picked just as they begin to unfurl — capturing the tea at its freshest.
💡 Top Tip
Try re-steeping the same leaves two or even three times. Oolong evolves with each brew, giving you a slightly different cup every time.
