Description
Kenya GFBOP – Bright, Malty & Confidently Bold
An inviting Kenyan black tea, known for its rich copper liquor, clean maltiness, and approachable strength—a satisfying cup at any time of day.
What Makes It Special
Grown in Kenya’s fertile highland regions, our Kenya GFBOP features large, well-made broken leaves with golden tips, indicating top-tier quality and careful harvesting. The volcanic soils and warm, evenly distributed rainfall produce teas of deep flavour and refreshing consistency.
Origin & Craft
Cultivated at high altitude (often over 5,500–6,000 ft) in estates like Milima and Kaimosi, this tea comes from some of Kenya’s finest orthodox-focused gardens. Skilled plucking and traditional processing preserve the leaf’s integrity and flavour complexity—crucial in elevating African tea beyond commodity standards.
💡 Tea Lover’s Tips
- A favourite among Reddit tea enthusiasts for its Assam-like maltiness and low bitterness, making it ideal for morning brews or strong afternoon cups
- Works beautifully as a base for breakfast blends, or paired with honey and lemon for a refreshing iced tea alternative.
