One of Coffee Bay’s most sought-after coffees. An all-rounder, so suits as an espresso as well as filter. Low in acidity with sumptuous body. The process of MC decaffeination involves the solvent Methylene Chloride, which is used to remove caffeine from coffee beans. The process softens the beans with steam, then using methylene chloride to extract the caffeine. The beans are then steamed again to remove any residual solvent before drying and roasting. This is the most common process of removing the caffeine. Given the high temperatures the beans are then roasted at there is no trace of chemical left behind. One of the best decafs on the market.
